This suggestion is about implementing an A-D ranking system.

Players start at C. After each game, players can rank others either A or D, and nothing in between (since most people will not use the letters in between anyway). These rankings are then added to the player's average (which can be A, B, C, or D), the weight for each determined by the rating player's own rank relative to the rated player.

Mechanics wise, the letters A-D represent the numbers 0-3.

That is all. :)

at the moment we experience system that is marked of by level so you don't have 161345, but marked as a level.
We could do a A(10)-B(20)-C(20)-D(20)-E(20)-F(10) ranking system where upper 10% is A next 20% B so on and so forth to F

Experience certainly needs to be marked off by level, but levels are more of an internal thing. In my opinion, current levels do not have a place being shown aside experience since most dumb players like me relate levels to skill (if I do not know the player in question). As you said, current levels are meant to display experience in a practical format. As an experience grouping system, current levels do not represent skill; this was not their purpose from the onset. The places where current levels are shown could be used for a more skill-relevant system. The suggested feature is meant to create less artificial "levels" and is unaffected by experience points. If this were to be implemented as upper/lower grouping, it would just be a gimped version of the current system using letters.

Level shows progress, not skill. Experience system is a ladder system that you start from the bottom and work your way up. Rating is a measurement/placement of skill level. Ranking system is based on progress as it is encouraging players of different skill levels compete and continue to climb. Unlike last season where after reach a certain point, players would stop and inactive. When they were passed they come back on and play a few more then go inactive. Current season it is hard to hold #1 spot since almost anyone is potential enough to option it.

Now I am striving to improve the rating system that measures skill level so it more accurately depicts a persons skill level and hence improve the team balance formula

Hate to say this buy the balancing for startgames are really onesided alot of times. Something needs to be done.. It isn't fair that i get gameboss, killercronic, beejay and definingstarts on the same team five times in a row.

Just look at my last 40 games please and see how unfair the teams were.

My point exactly. Experience points do the same thing, so why display both (and experience points will always be shown, so...)?

You working with numbers and will hit a wall eventually, no matter how much you fine-tune it. The suggested system is focused more on the individual players' skill and less on numbers. It is not meant to serve as a replacement for the current rating system; it is just to be shown instead of "levels" in command outputs; sorry for using the terms rating and ranking interchangeably. The idea behind this suggestion is someone can look at a player's ranking and instantly know his/her skill level with deadly precision.

If integrated with the current matchmaking system, it could resolve issues like the one shotta is experiencing and generally prevent swindles.

problem is players like shotta, killercronic, gameboss, and the list could go on. These players are so spontaneous as they can be good one game and bad the other.

The spontaneity you mention is unavoidable, but there would be an even chance of it biting on both teams instead of just one. If integrated with the matchmaking system, it would split up players evenly by skill: let's say shotta and killercronic are ranked D, and everyone else in the pool is ranked A. shotta randomly goes to sent, and cronic goes to the opposite team. I thought up this system with these players in mind as I am among their ranks.

did a massive overhaul or fix on the team balancing system. There was a spot that wasn't working as intended, or was inverted in balancing the teams.

this suggestion owns and is simple

this RATING system recommended by Lance. has nothing to do with an ACTUAL players exp or anything

the RANKING A B C D has nothing to do with their gameplay....but merely player feedback.....

so after a game you -support a player or -bash a player (made up commands)
get enough supports and u go up in a letter ranking get enough bashes and you go down.

techincally u could have 700 exp but be A ranked or be #1 in DCL with like 1300 exp and be D ranked.....

cuz that is the current issues....bad players getting carried and then swindling the teams.....least this would stop that
